The Content Strategist works in tandem with the Public Relations team and the Account Management team to keep all client projects on track to meet deadlines with client objectives at the forefront. Strong writing skills, good project management and time-management skills, critical thinking, creativity, copy-editing ability and an eye for detail are requirements. It is a fast-paced environment and a great opportunity for the right candidate.

Knowledge of the federal market is preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Must be creative and agile in meeting client demands
  • Will give clear and thoughtful guidance on content strategy initiatives and go to market strategy to our clients by using excellent communication skills
  • Work with clients and account management team on strategy, topic selections and webcast or event abstract development
  • Work with clients to establish content strategy for custom event opportunities
  • Work with internal team to support copy-editing needs
  • Collaborate with clients and business development team to build compelling programs in response to RFPs
  • Regular interaction with internal departments including, executive leadership, fellow content developers, brand strategists, and the events team
  • Manage external relationships with attendees
  • Regularly interact with clients, event sponsors and speakers

Experience You Need

  • 7+ years in content marketing, editing, journalism or other content development capacity
  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field
  • Superb planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Tactfully deliver information to clients in sometimes challenging and sensitive situations
  • Must be a critical thinker and able to solve problems in a time-sensitive atmosphere
  • Work as part of an internal team to deliver successful client projects on time

Additional Experiences

  • Knowledge of the government and contracting community, preferred
  • experience in Federal IT, State & Local Government IT preferred
