The Copywriter is a brand creator and storyteller—an experienced and strategic wordsmith and creative problem solver. The ideal candidate is equally at home creating brand manifestos, crafting campaign copy, penning proposals, and scripting videos. They will be a key part of a team of artists whose work will resonate across a wide range of media. This person will love language and relish their ability to unleash its persuasive power.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the creative team (creative directors, art directors, and designers) and strategists to create concepts for brands, campaigns, collateral, or other communications needed by clients
  • Write dynamic copy for web, digital, interactive, video, print, and events
  • Work as a conceptual creative and strategic mind, contributing new ideas and the words to bring those ideas to life
  • Participate in and contribute to new business opportunities for Yes&
  • Present and defend creative ideas both within the agency and to clients
  • Be a team player and a self-starter
  • Produce top-notch, unique and out-of-the-box creative solutions for all media
  • Be disciplined with the drive to learn more and do more
  • Provide input and share ideas with the creative team throughout the creative process
  • Participate and support the creative team with a wide range of deliverables and brainstorm sessions, while also working independently
  • Actively contribute to presentations and proposals
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Evaluate priorities and manage a variety of projects 

Skills and Experience


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, writing, or another related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 – 7 years’ copywriting experience in support of clients, preferably in an agency setting
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing tactics
  • Strong conceptual abilities, remarkable writing skills and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape
  • Polished client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client challenge
  • Talent to inspire clients and team members with great conceptual thinking
  • Ability to lead by example and mentor younger creatives in their development
  • Desire to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment


  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications, MS Office, G Suite, Keynote, PowerPoint
  • Video production experience is a plus
