The ideal candidate must be able to manage all strategic and tactical components of a public relations program; demonstrate strong written, oral, project management and communications skills; and be able to effectively juggle multiple client deliverables simultaneously. Candidates must be highly motivated and excel in working in both a client-facing role as well as with the media/editorial community.

What You Will Do

The primary responsibility of this role includes all aspects of public relations account management and delivery, as well as a significant focus on content development, to include the following:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a select number of Yes&’s public relations clients, including all communications, management of client deliverables and reporting requirements
  • Development and execution of comprehensive and strategic public relations and marketing plans
  • Proactive and reactive media relations
  • Development and distribution of press releases
  • Development and placement of thought leadership pieces such as byline/commentary articles and blog posts
  • Development of other related content such as case studies, collateral pieces, whitepapers, blogs, direct marketing pieces, executive call for speakers and related talking points and award nominations. Other writing tasks as assigned.
  • Integration of digital/social media strategies and content into the PR program
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and the media
  • Creative and innovative approaches to driving meaningful coverage and results
  • Dedication to the client portfolio and the internal team

Experience You Need

  • B.A. / B.S. in PR, marketing or communications field
  • 3 - 4 years of public relations account management experience
  • Exceptional writing skills and sample portfolio
  • Familiarity with local and national media outlets/contacts
  • Proven ability and track record of generating coverage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work as a team player and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Maintain discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters
