YES& is looking for a technical director to join our team.

The ideal candidate will thrive being at the table in client meetings to craft, develop, and implement technical solutions and be adept at helping our agency run as efficiently as possible by using technology, best practices, and well-formed processes designed to help us produce quality work efficiently & effectively. The technical director will also support technical solutions for new business proposals and estimates. And help build internal best practices for web/technical proposal development.




What You Will Do

The technical director should love architecting complex technical solutions for clients and can communicate those plans to both clients and to a skilled team of developers for implementation.

Client Facing Responsibilities Include

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, technology trends, solutions, and integration solutions for CRM, data visualization, etc.

  • Support new business presentations, present technical demonstrations and provide client with strategic technical experience guidance.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet client goals

  • Actively participate in client meetings as the technological voice on projects

YES& is growing fast! This role also entails helping our internal team run as efficiently as possible.

Internal Responsibilities Include

  • Architecting and managing the YES& intranet and extranet

  • Developing best practices for website development and communicating those processes and standards agency wide

  • Familiarity with GIT and Version Control workflows and ability to train other developers on the process

  • Have comprehensive experience working with research, strategy, UX, design and development teams to build digital experiences

  • Manage the internal tech stack budget and constantly stay up to date on the latest technologies to increase our efficiency and employee experience

  • Help to lead and grow a team of remote developers

As technical director you will need to roll up your shirtsleeves and keep your fingers in the code as needed. This may mean installing/updating the occasional WordPress plugin or supporting WordPress & Drupal development projects.

Experience You Need

  • 8+ years of experience in a related role

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Demonstrable experience leading and growing a team of developers

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment (Bonus points if you have Agency experience)

  • Strong understanding of Drupal and WordPress, JIRA

  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery

  • Third party integration experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)

  • Familiarity with database architecture & management

  • Expertise with compilers such as gulp & grunt

Experience that Would be a Plus, but not Required

  • Master’s Degree in a related field a plus
